Title: Senior Software Performance Engineer

WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL DO:

As the Performance Testing Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our software systems in a Cloud Native environment. You will lead a global team of performance testers and engineers, utilizing your thought leadership and technical expertise to drive excellence in performance testing practices and results. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, strategizing, and communicating with cross-functional teams across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a high-performing global team of performance testers and engineers.
• Develop and implement performance testing strategies and methodologies, with a strong focus on utilizing JMeter and other relevant tools.
• Define performance testing objectives, goals, and KPIs.
• Oversee the design and execution of performance tests, including load, stress, and scalability testing, while leveraging JMeter expertise.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to optimize system performance.
• DevOps Integration:

• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to seamlessly integrate performance testing, especially using JMeter, into the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Champion the automation of performance testing processes to ensure rapid and reliable testing of cloud-based products.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in performance testing tools and techniques, particularly JMeter.
• Lead debugging and troubleshooting efforts, utilizing your deep technical expertise, to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones and regions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the performance testing team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to performance testing, DevOps, and cloud products.
• Act as a thought leader by providing guidance and mentorship to team members and sharing insights with the broader organization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of performance testing processes, test plans, and results.
• Prepare and present regular performance testing reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99VE DONE:

• Experience working in engineering teams leveraging Cloud-native technologies in a SaaS B2B space with focus on performance, scale, security, and reliability
• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (10+ years) in performance testing and engineering, with a strong background in using performance testing tools, especially JMeter.
• Previous experience in a leadership role, with the ability to manage and lead a global team effectively.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles and experience integrating performance testing into DevOps pipelines.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across geographically dispersed teams.
• Thought leadership in the field of performance testing and a commitment to staying current with industry trends.
• Experience with testing cloud-based products and services.
