: Role Description:
As a Senior Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database solutions that meet business and technical requirements. You will ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and high availability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable database systems. This role also involves mentoring junior team members and staying abreast of emerging database technologies to drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement database solutions aligned with business requirements and architectural standards.
• Conduct database capacity planning and performance forecasting to ensure scalability.
• Continuously monitor and optimize database performance using advanced tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, DMVs).
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Implement and maintain high availability solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, log shipping).
• Develop and regularly test disaster recovery plans for rapid and accurate data restoration.
• Establish and enforce database security policies, including user roles, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to safeguard sensitive data.
• Design and automate comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with application development teams to optimize database interactions and facilitate deployments.
• Work with IT operations to ensure seamless integration with infrastructure and cloud services.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for database architecture, maintenance plans, and troubleshooting.
• Develop best practices and guidelines for database management and ensure team adherence.
• Mentor and guide junior database administrators and engineers through training and knowledge sharing.
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning and innovation.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging database technologies to enhance systems and processes.
• Provide innovative solutions to improve database performance, reliability, and scalability.

Mandatory Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in database architecture, design, and administration.
• Expertise in SQL Server and related technologies (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering).
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery solutions.
• Advanced understanding of database security best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in backup and recovery strategies, including automation of processes.
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring and optimization tools (e.g., DMVs, SQL Server Management Studio).
• Strong documentation skills for database design, processes, and troubleshooting.

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
• Familiarity with other RDBMS systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies.
• Scripting skills for automation (e.g., PowerShell, T-SQL).
• Certifications in database management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator).
