This is a new team and an opportunity to help lead Toast on its journey of international expansion. As a Software Engineer on the International team you will be focused on building products with a Global first mindset, working closely with UX/PM/QA and customers to deliver the most value that fits our customers market and culture.About this roll* (Responsibilities)

• Build new products and Evolve Toast\'s existing products suite to meet global market needs
• Be part of a team working collaboratively with UX, PM, QA and other engineers building web applications using modern web technologies
• Work closely with pilot customers to ensure successful delivery and operation
• Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews to ensure implementations meet requirements
• Define best practices and help choose technologies to evolve our current tech stack while writing world-class applications
• Drive initiatives to support our international mission
• Collaborate with teams across Toast
• Mentor and coach other engineers

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• Looking for 5-9 years of highly proficient experience in Java or Kotlin Android development
• Passionate about building great software
• Proficient in Software Development best practices (Code Quality, UnitTest, BDD)
• Experience with Selenium or Espresso testing
• Experience delivering high-quality, reliable apps to production
• Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
• Familiar with traditional databases and alternative data stores
• Familiar with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. React, Typescript)

Special Sauce* (Nice to Haves)

• Experience with localisation and internationalization frameworks
• Experience implementing component testing and E2E testing
