JOB DESCRIPTION


smartShift Technologies is looking for a SAP Basis Sr. Consultant to join our Bangalore team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• candidate should have strong Basis knowledge and abilities that include core administration of SAP production systems as well as aptitude for identifying and solving various technical problems
• Strong knowledge & hands-on experience in technical planning, implementation, upgrades, migration and maintenance of various SAP modules on premise and on cloud (preferable)
• Knowledge on S/4HANA Conversion would be a big plus
• Certified consultant either in OS/DB Migration or SAP BASIS Fundamentals with HANA DB
• Good knowledge and understanding of SAP Application Security, Single Sign-ON Technologies, Infrastructure Security, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, etc. will be a big plus.
• Must have strong SAP Basis skills on Operating Systems Linux/Unix, and Windows
• Strong experience in most of the database like HANA, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase, Oracle and MaxDB. Knowledge on Sybase is preferable
• Knowledge of infrastructure, especially cloud infrastructure, is a big plus
• Experience in OS/DB/Infrastructure migration, especially HANA migration using SUM/DMO from any source database like Oracle/SQL/DB2
• Experience in System refresh, system copy, Client copy, Client export/import
• Experience in S4HANA Conversions, Migrations, EHP upgrades, SP updates, Patches, kernel upgrades and so on
• Good experience in HANA installation, administration and maintenance in scaled up and scaled out landscape
• Expertise in the configuration of SAP systems, not limiting to S4HANA, HANA, ECC, CRM, SCM, Portal, BW, PI, GRC, GTS, FIORI, solution manager.
• Experience with Solution manager 7.2
• Knowledge on High availability with various clustering tools, and disaster recovery setup. Big plus to have automation skills on any of the BASIS activities
• Should possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) & interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independent ability to execute OS/DB migration projects and resolve issues especially with HANA upgrade and migrations
• Lead the team technically on Production support and resolve day-to-day technical issues
• Should be willing to work on weekends and on night shifts as project demands

QUALIFICATION

• 6+ years' experience as an SAP Basis Engineer
• SAP Basis and HANA related Certifications are a big plus
