:What You\'ll DoAvalara aspires to be the global cloud compliance platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help us build and evolve our highly distributed and scalable services. A successful candidate will be a well-rounded software development engineer with a proven track record of delivering software at scale in an Agile environment.

• Review requirements and create design documentation
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Perform code and design reviews effectively
• Mentor/Coach junior engineers
• Effective Cross-team collaboration to deliver the common goal and resolve dependencies
• Effectively contribute to non-functional requirements like CI/CD, Security, Scalability, HA, etc.
• Owning your task end-to-end, from requirement to go-live
• Strong communication skills and risk management
• Contribute to all the Agile ceremonies
• Strive for continuous improvement in technical and process efficiency

What You\'ll Need to be SuccessfulQualifications

• A 4-year bachelor\'s degree or higher in computer science or engineering
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in software development

Technology Skills

• Experience in one of the programming & framework like .NET Core or Java
• Passionate to learn and work on new programming languages or framework

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Hands-on experience in using OOPS concepts, Multi-threading, Async programming, Exception handling and Automation

• Experienced in building modular design and implementation
• Hands-on experience in API development
• Hands-on experience in at least one Database - SQL or No-SQL
• Added advantage having hands-on experience with any public cloud platform
• Added advantage having hands-on experience in CI/CD, Containerization, Serverless, etc
