Senior Software Engineer - Performance Diagnostics

Description

We are currently seeking a driven and talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Performance Diagnostic Engineering team. In this role you will be developing applications that support our core trading infrastructure that help monitor and detect issues globally. This includes both back-end and front-end applications that are actively used by our Engineering, Support and Service teams

What You Will Be Involved With?

• Write and maintain high quality, object oriented Python Code
• Triage, debug, analyze and deploy applications using standard Linux command tools and Bash scripts
• Build and run Docker containers for local development as well as deployed workloads
• Maintain and extend a variety of applications including Python RESTful web APIs and back-end services, performance sensitive C++ apps and Angular web apps
• Operate and manage open source 3rd Party services and AWS cloud services
• Manage data on services such as S3, MySQL database, Kafka, and Redis

What You Bring to the Table

• A minimum 3 years of python development experience and a strong foundation in object oriented programming
• Full stack web basics - HTML, CSS, HTTP, Javascript, RESTful APIs, single page web apps, etc.
• Experience using docker or other container technologies
• Experience with Linux operating systems is required
• Knowledge and experience with network concepts and protocols such as TCP, UDP, PGM, VLANs, etc.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL
• Experience working with AWS Services with a primary focus around EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, CloudFormation and IAM
• Experience developing in C++ and code performance analysis is a plus
• Experience using MySQL, Angular, Typescript is a plus
• Experience using asyncio and Flask Python libraries and creating Python packages is a plus
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS and Lambda services is a plus
