As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Digital Tech, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Should have Bachelor's degree in Engineering or masters in computer science MSc or masters in computer applications (MCA) or Masters in Technology (M Tech) with Minimum 6+ years relevant experience in Java Essential
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Mandatory hands-on experience on core Java, Spring and REST services
• Strong Java, J2EE and Micro services development experience.
• J2EE & Object Oriented Design Patterns. Strong experience in RDBMS(Oracle)
• Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices code refactoring.
• A delivery focused approach to work and the ability to work without direction
• Mandatory hands-on Cloud Technology. Containers and K8s are Optional.
• Experience with various source control tools like GIT. Good to have hands-on experience on Kafka or any Streaming Technology. Good to have experience in Splunk, Dynatrace tools
• Good understanding of Jenkins CI/CD, Maven/Gradle
• Root cause Investigation. Communication to Scrum team. Join Incident and Triage calls. Incident Resolution and communication to stakeholders. Vulnerability Break analysis and mitigation, Alerting and monitoring test and setup in non-prod. System Enhancement/Setting up Alert monitoring in Prod. Performance Monitoring - Including Tableau, Splunk and Grafana dashboards. Available for On-call support calendar
