Your responsibilities will involve system design, programming, and debugging, with a focus on Application & Microservice deployment on our Connected Cloud Platform. We value curiosity, ingenuity, and technical excellence, and we offer opportunities for impactful projects.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Building systems for our customers that are scalable, secure and performant
• Designing and implementing software that runs the Akamai connected cloud platform
• Building systems by researching, proposing and integrating best solutions for product objectives
• Evaluating opportunities to integrate other Akamai solutions with compute
• Providing technical expertise and leadership for your team
• Leading initiatives and drive them to technological success working with peer teams
• Collaborating with stakeholders to improve cloud services management
• Innovating and improving processes and systems consistently

Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Master\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in CS/IT or in related field
• Have good programming skills in C and/or C++ or a similar language.
• Have a deep understanding of concurrency, resource optimization and networking concepts and experience in systems programming (GNU/Linux)
• Have working experience with containers, infrastructure-as-code and related technologies.
• Have working experience with Python. Be able to write organized, efficient, and well-documented code
• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
