Senior Software Engineer (C++)LSEG delivers truly world-changing insight based on rich content sources. Within this insight lies our Custom Solution & Alternatives (xe2x80x9cCS&Axe2x80x9d) technology group, which creates custom indices and solutions for critical clients using multiple asset classes across global jurisdictions.Working closely with business proposition leaders, product managers, architects, and other software development teams, this is an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer with experience in C++. The team you work with will support an set of applications responsible for generating custom index data.Roles and Responsibilitiesxc2xb7 Develop high-quality software, design, and functional documentationxc2xb7 Work with product owners, architects and others to implement world-class solutions that meet regulatory and customer needs.xc2xb7 Provide estimates for specific software feature implementationxc2xb7 Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle (SDLC)xc2xb7 Build unit tests for your code and follow test-driven development processes.xc2xb7 Develop and maintain tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code that follows open sourcing standardsxc2xb7 Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scriptingxc2xb7 Provide senior leadership to junior software developers by leading design, implementation and code reviews.xc2xb7 Participate in the backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions, analysing requirements, providing complexity estimates and proposing low-level implementation plans.xc2xb7 Collaborate with a global group of internal teams that span Asia, Europe and Americas.xc2xb7 Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies and standardsxc2xb7 Assist front-line support teams in resolving customer and production issues.Requirements

• 5+ years of full life-cycle software development experience
• 3+ years of object oriented development in C++
• Ability to collaborate in a team focused environment
• Excellent analytical skills and a real passion for solving problems.
• Ability to thoroughly test and debug code using test driven development
• Ability to suggest/research new technologies and quickly adapt to change
• Ability to work with both Technical Architects and Product Owners in order to build to specification

Technical Skillsxc2xb7 Very good working experience as HT basic and Delphi software developer.xc2xb7 Fair working knowledge on SQL DBxc2xb7 Working experience in different cloud environmentsxc2xb7 Very good working experience in different scripting (Powershell, Bash)xc2xb7 Source Repositories (GIT) and associated pipeline development (Jenkins/Gitlab).xc2xb7 Familiarity with network programming and/or functionality - TCP/IP, UDP multicast, REST, Web-sockets are all desirable.xc2xb7 Working experience and developing software on both Linux and Windows operating systemsxc2xb7 Agile development experience is strong plusxc2xb7 Good working knowledge on SNOW, Jira and Confluence tools.xc2xb7 Strong understanding of infrastructure and very good problem solving skills.xc2xb7 Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.xc2xb7 Self-driven, flexible, and innovative.xc2xb7 Fair understanding of Incident, Problem, Change and Release management processes.Nice-to-havesxc2xb7 Financial markets/banking experience and/or experience dealing with regulated products.xc2xb7 Experience migrating on-prem infrastructure to cloud and ability to assist junior members in development team learn cloud technologies or microservice framework.xc2xb7 Experience with designing and architecting solutions in Cloud environments.xc2xb7 Strong understanding of security and compliance managements.xc2xb7 Very good understanding of Devops and SRE skills.LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
