TITLE: Senior Software Engineer/Software Engineer

REPORTING To: Senior Manager, Genomics India

WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore, India

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidates should be responsible for design, development and implementation of service-based applications and providing solutions for application integration built upon Microsoft Stack in Azure, Candidate will be responsible for Development and IT application support activities including maintenance, administration, and Level 2 support. They will work closely with the Eurofins resources working in Labs, Business Analyst and Service Desk to provide Level 2 support and to ensure timely and efficient resolution of IT application-related incidents and service requests, while supporting Change and Problem management process. Candidate should be able to help in applying engineering approaches to have a better production systems and build own creative engineering solutions for operational problems. Candidates should also focus on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. Follow Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, blameless postmortems and proactive identification of potential outages factor into iterative improvement that is key to both product quality and interesting and dynamic day- today work.

ROLE & OBJECTIVES:

Specific Assignments:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain global services and applications in the Cloud and OnPrem.

• Integrating windows, e-commerce, ERP applications with existing services, applications and databases.

• Work closely with customers and co-workers at a global level to understand business requirements and implement new solutions.

• Setup and Monitor the health of all systems in the cloud using Azure log analytics, Azure AppInsights, ELK, CheckMK.

REQUIRED

• 1-8 years of experience.

• Strong knowledge of .Net Framework 4.5, 4.7.2 and .NET Core, C#, NHibernate, EntityFramework, Rest API and WCF.

• Strong working knowledge of MS SQL DB, Stored Procedures, TSQL, NoSQL (MongoDB).

• Working knowledge of XML, XSLT and XSD.

• NUnit, ORM preferably NHibernate, EntityFramework.

• Strong knowledge in content management system (example: Umbraco).

• Experience of building and troubleshooting WCF and windows services.

• Hands-on technical skills with a can-do attitude and ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

• Experience in creating CI & CD pipeline using Azure DevOps tool for .NET and Microservices.

• IIS Deployments experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High affinity towards modern technology and cloud.

• Azure certification AZ900.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Experience in working with large databases.

• T-SQL and data analysis skills.

• SQL Server query optimization & performance tuning skills.

• Knowledge in scripting languages (, PowerShell, ShellScript etc.).

• Knowledge Messaging Service buster/MSMQ will be added advantage.

• Ability to come up with new technologies, methods and ideas, and guiding the team . for further implementations
