About our Team

Our team is responsible for developing & maintaining Embase, a leading biomedical & pharmacological database used by researchers, healthcare professionals. We are an innovative group of developers working with cutting-edge technology to provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date information.

About the Role

As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will join an international team of software engineering professionals. You will drive and maintain the development of cloud, distributed web-based applications in the area of Pharma & Biotech Technology solutions. The successful candidate will bring and share sufficient process experience in Agile/Scrum methodology, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork in application to enterprise software development.

Responsibilities

• Delivering software using modern technology stacks (microservices, single-page applications, etc.)
• Implementing Front-End components with excellent quality.
• suggesting and driving the development of key Front-End architecture components.
• Driving decision-making process within a team and across teams as required.
• Conducting code reviews.
• Mentoring and help other team members.
• Developing testing automation framework, including unit and functional testing.
• Acting as a member of the Scrum team, collaborating with colleagues, constantly improving the processes.

Requirements

• Have a bachelor education with 5 years of experience.
• Have an experience in modern Front-End technologies: JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5.
• Have solid experience in React ecosystem, React-specific best practices, and approaches. Experience with other frameworks (Angular, Backbone, etc.) is an added scope.
• Have a good knowledge of software design best practices, patterns, and algorithms.
• Have a good knowledge of web development best practices: mobile-friendly solutions, responsive design, accessibility.
• Be able to deliver quality solutions, testing automation using React Testing Library, Jest, Protractor.
• Have an Agile mindset, great with Scrum processes.
• Have a good grasp of code and artifacts management: git, npm, webpack, docker, artifactory, CDN, etc.
