About The Unit

The Data & Analytics Solutions - IT team is responsible for providing the necessary technical and domain expertise required to create and maintain the databases and shared services for our end customers. Our flagship products namely SpringerMaterials, Experiments, ADIS Insight & Pearl are built by a team of developers, QAs, BAs, UI & UX experts and SMEs, who collaborate to ensure easy accessibility of relevant data. We follow a problem statement and user experience driven approach to ensure the right data is available in the simplistic way for the scientific community.

Years of Experience: 4 to 7 years

Place of Work: 1201/1301, Building No. 5 (R3), Gerra Commercezone, Kharadi, Pune (Working in Hybrid Model)

Educational Qualification: B.Sc., BCA, BCS, B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc or a technology-related field or relevant experience

The job is based in Pune where you will as part of Springer Nature\'s digital product development team. You\'ll be part of our big community of developers located in Germany, UK and India, to name a few.

Skill Matrix:

Must Have Skills:

- Golang, MySQL (Goose), Docker, Unix, AWS.

- TypeScript, JavaScript, React, CSS, Docker.

- Tools: Jira, github

- You have senior level experience (4+ years) in front end development using React or js frameworks.

- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.

Good to Have Skills:

- knowledge of PHP is a plus.

- Experience working with modern web frameworks.

- You are capable of working autonomously with remote teams in various time zones.

Key Responsibilities

- Write quality code that is reliable and maintainable using industry best practices (e.g., style, security, testability, and efficiency).

- Diagnose, debug, and optimize performance of web applications.

- Participate in design and code reviews, pair and mentor fellow engineers.

- Provide guidance to company stakeholders on upcoming challenges and participate in project planning.

- Stay abreast of industry standards and emerging technologies and promote their use within our team.

Work Environment:

- This job is based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, and you will routinely work remotely with colleagues in the United States.

- During your first six months, you will be expected to be flexible with work timings. You need to adjust working hours so that you have enough collaboration with US stakeholders and / or teammates based on US time zone.
