The Cloud Governance team builds software products to support the operations within FinOps, cloud compliance, cloud governance, and software asset management. As a Lead Software Engineer your focus is to ensure that the team delivers high quality and high value software products for our business, and you understand that empowering everyone in the team is the most efficient way to get there. You will help guide the technical direction of the team, take part in design discussions, do hands-on software development, and actively engage with stakeholders from both business and technology to align expectations and remove roadblocks. Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software projects, using open source technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications. Architect scalable and robust software solutions that align with industry best practices and open source principles. Research, evaluate, and select appropriate open source frameworks, libraries, and tools to enhance software development processes and outcomes. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality code delivery. Conduct code reviews and participate in technical discussions to drive excellence and maintain code standards. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and other technical challenges, working closely with the quality assurance team. Stay up to date with the latest open source technologies, trends, and best practices, and contribute to the open source community whenever possible. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, understand user requirements, and iterate on software features and functionalities. We are looking for Your Qualifications Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on open source technologies. In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript, along with proficiency in using open source frameworks and libraries. Strong understanding of software development principles, including agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git). Experience in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance software systems. Demonstrated ability to lead software projects and mentor junior engineers. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating elegant, efficient, and maintainable code. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Contributions to open source projects or active participation in the open source community. Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. . Hands-on knowledge in designing and building APIs. . Understanding of distributed services and applications. . A good technical mindset and product development driven experience. . Strong sense of product ownership and commitment to grow and build product thinking, coupled with a strong passion for technology and innovation. .
