Job Title Senior Software ArchitectSenior Software Architect in the Interventional Applications (iApps) Cluster within IGT-Systems, responsible for the Software architecture of the Interventional Workspot (IW), Coronary Tools platforms and clinical applications spanning Neuro, Cardio, Vascular, Onco and the interfaces connecting the platforms with the IGT modality.In this role, you have the opportunity for exploring, evaluating and building platforms, solutions and services with the latest technologies, including data and cloud platforms. Be a hands-on expert in designing and conceptualizing iApps architecture, data analytics, cloud-native and large-scale distributed services using latest technology stacks. You would work along with a team of Principal Architects in iApps cluster to design, build and deliver world class clinical platforms and applications. You will also be in frequent interaction with developer communities.You are responsible for defining the software quality plans and standards, and the CICD architecture for the iApps teams. You are part of the iApps design team to review the software designs coming out of the cluster. You are also the quality gate for the iApps teams by defining hard gates in the development tools and processes and by reviewing the code, documents and designs of the teams that develop software for the IW platform and the clinical applications. The role is also responsible for working hands-on with the teams, solving problems and influencing the Component roadmap, Security Processes and the technology and tools roadmap for the iApps cluster.Your role:

  • Defines architecture strategy, balancing long0 and short0term views and balancing conflicting requirements (e.g. security vs. performance) in alignment with software leaders.
  • Works with stakeholders to develop the architectural runway and spikes in support of new business features and capabilities
  • Works with teams, customers, suppliers, software leaders and product and solution management to define and design at high0level a solution /platform (incl. solution / platform intent, information models, and documentation requirements) and ensures fitness of purpose by focusing on consumer needs and technological competitiveness
  • Delivers an optimal and consolidated architecture / design, leveraging technology and evaluating design alternatives including cost benefit analysis
  • Defines system/items/units (for example components) and their interfaces, creating well defined building blocks, system options and scenarios. Allocates responsibilities to system/items/units, understands and supports solution deployment
  • Establishes and communicates critical high0level functional and nonfunctional requirements. Owns implementation of non0functional requirements in area of responsibility
  • Ensures good and up to date documentation of the architecture and implementation thereof and responsible for overall solutions / product quality
  • Influences and drives an accepted implementation of architecture
  • Collaborates with and coaches agile teams to take and implement the appropriate system/items/units design decisions balancing applying emergent design with intentional architecture (e.g. in inspect and adapt workshops)
  • Drives software craftmanship. Might conduct also proof of concepts and code development activities
  • Supports in backlog grooming and release planning

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent with 17+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • Must have expertise in C# .Net
  • Strong exposure to working in Healthcare domain
