The SMT Process Engineer is familiar with setting up, programming and maintaining automated SMT equipment, provides support and technical leadership to the Global Application Team. Job Responsibilities Capable of designing DOE, and other quality tools to study the process windows Should have good knowledge on industrial acceptance standards and capable to develop concept design for test boards using Gerber software tools. Need to have good communication and presentation skill and willing to work in R&D environments. Identify, improve, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, process capability, and product quality. Create manufacturing processes, and conduct defect and failure analysis, engineering evaluations, statistical analysis and implement corrective actions to support process improvement efforts and ensure root-cause analysis translates into process improvements when appropriate. Requirements & Qualifications B.E/M.E/M.Tech, Electronics / Tele communications. Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience in the SMT printed circuit. Board assembly industry or in a similar environment. Solid skills and knowledge of production processes and flow, SMT thru hole and assembly related processes for electronic board manufacturing. Must have knowledge of IPC-610A standards. Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office software required. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology. Proven ability to design production processes. Knowledge on Semiconductor material processing will be an additional requirements. Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering
