Responsibilities:Position Purpose: To provide support to the local Securities Operations team lead/manager with day-to-day supervision of processing of operational tasks and duties by the team analysts. This is a multi-entity role as the team acts as an operational hub for StoneX Financial Ltd (SFL), StoneX Financial Nigeria (SFN) and StoneX Financial Europe (SFE) securities businesses. Roles include the oversight and supervision of smooth and efficient processing of trades, with a focus on fixed income and equity trade settlements. The successful candidate will be involved in supervising portions of the trade lifecycle that the analyst team members handle including post trade from pre-matching to resolving settlement fails. The candidate will need to be able provide cover holiday/sickness cover for the junior members of the team as well. This role requires regular interaction with clients, SFL SME Team, and other internal and external teams. There will be the additional opportunity to provide oversight of trade reconciliations, cash management, and collateral oversight as well as contributing to various operational projects and handling ad hoc tasks as needed by supporting the local manager. The successful candidate will report into the local Securities Operations Manager.Responsibilites

  • Oversight of the settlements team analysts in a supervisory capacity by ensuring timely processing of fixed income and equity trades, monitoring trade settlement, monitoring cash positions, completion the daily checklists and controls within the team.
  • Monitoring and following up on trade fail where assistance is needed, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Running daily trade reconciliations, helping to resolve breaks where applicable by escalation from the team analysts
  • Assist in managing daily cash flows to ensure adequate funding for trade settlements and avoid any overdrafts
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables
  • Leverage solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Supporting the local manager in all project initiatives and implementing process improvements/efficiencies within the team.

Qualifications:To land this role you will need:
  • A minimum of 2-3 yearsxe2x80x99 supervisory experience within an Operations team setup. Overall, with => 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a securities operationxe2x80x99s environment.
  • 5+ years of institutional operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : Work experience, training or Education
  • A core understanding of the trade lifecycle and settlement process for fixed income and/or equity trades is essential.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Education / Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required

Working environment:

  • Travel Requirements xe2x80x93 Travel to the UK may be required at least once per year.
