You will be working as Senior Scientist at global grade 12 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for BA Function Technology division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Department Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Acting as the first line contact in R&D or SW development or product engineering for the specific product related issues and maintenance. Your responsibilities Identifying use cases and requirements gathering for data-driven solutions in cooperation with ABB\'s business divisions and end customers Researching technologies in sensing, data provisioning and edge computing layers for process automation business Investigating system architectures, secured industrial connectivity solutions and software engineering approaches for secured embedded systems Developing system infrastructure for deploying predictive and prescriptive data analytics models on embedded software systems. Performing data exploration, pre-processing, and analysis Developing prototypes and providing support for pilot evaluation and productization of solutions Living ABB\'s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business Your background Ph.D./M.Tech/M.S. from a reputed University in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with a good publication record Required 2 to 7 years of relevant experience with Ph.D. or 5 to 10 years of relevant experience with Master\'s degree Having proficiency in embedded software systems and architecture Preferably exposed to virtualization in Embedded Systems and basics of Statistical Analysis and Machine Learning Proficiency in interacting secured embedded platforms with industrial data from physical devices, sensors, actuators, and PLCs Should have ability to communicate effectively in English with internal and external partners including academic community More about us ABB is a leading global technology company that energizes the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future.
