Job Description

1. Assists in routine laboratory tests within the Cytogenetics / FISH Laboratory for cytogenetic studies on clinical specimens-AF/CVS/PB/CB/FB.
2. Karyotyping: Prepares Chromosome and FISH Karyotypes using ISCN nomenclature. Completes karyotyping with speed. Completes karyotyping accurately and neatly. Is able to detect chromosome subtle abnormalities and FISH abnormal signal pattern.
3. Imaging: Able to use scanners according to laboratory protocols. Good working knowledge of imaging system.
4. Performs analysis accurately and demonstrates ability to detect subtle abnormalities and report accordingly.
5. Records documentation of analysis clearly and neatly. Demonstrates ability to handle high volume of cases with appropriate speed.
6. Participate in documenting and implementing Quality Assurance (QA)/ Quality Control (QC)/Quality and Inventory (QI) procedures.
7. Cover emergency and non-emergency out of hours work as required.
8. Trouble-shoot basic problems.
9. Handles high volume of work with appropriate speed and assists less experienced coworkers.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
11. Demonstrates or explains procedures to new employees when necessary.
12. Maintains and improves technical expertise by attending continuing education programs and reading current literature in the field.
13. Participates actively in developing, evaluating, and implementing approved new procedures or modifications to existing policies or procedures. Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent Salary: 925,000.00 - 940,000.00 per month Benefits:
