Position : Senior Scientific Officer

Educational Qualification : MTech Preferably PhD in Civil engineering

Experience:1-3 Years

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Management:

• Lead and manage the soil and asphalt laboratory team.
• Ensure compliance with NABL accreditation standards.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and accurate testing and reporting.
• Maintenance of the laboratory equipment's in working condition.

Testing and Documentation:

• Conducting and oversee testing of asphalt binders, mix designs, and asphalt performance i.e., rutting, moisture susceptibility.
• Testing of asphalt emulsions and antistripping agents
• Testing of the waterproofing membranes as per specifications (shear adhesion, tensile strength, chloride ion penetration)
• Conducting soil testing and preparing comprehensive reports covering all soil parameters such as triaxial, direct shear, consolidation, vane shear, and physical properties of soil
• Testing and reporting of geosynthetics related tests i.e., installation damage, pullout test, interface friction test, direct shear resistance.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, thorough, and compliance with specification. Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the lab's services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
• Prepare proposals, bills and reports management new projects. Research Work
• Lead the Geosynthetics Reinforced Asphalt Pavement Project as Principal Investigator (PI).
• Research paper writing of the research outcomes
• Procurement of the instruments as per the project requirement
• Writing new research projects and patents. Site Testing:
• Conducting on-site testing and provide expert analysis and reporting.
• Conducting Field density test, filed CBR test, LWD test and field vane shear
• Ensure fieldwork complies with safety and quality standards.

Civil Work

• Manage civil works related to laboratory upgradation and ensure timely completion.
• Preparing BOQ, and bills and taking measurements.
• Supervisions of the civil related works

• Indirect Tensile Strength test
• Retained Tensile Strength test
• Short term Ageing
• Long term Ageing

• Bitumen Quality Test
• Bitumen Emulsions Quality Test
• Aggregate Quality Test

Special Skills:

1) Research and Development Flexible pavement.

2) Quality Analysis and Assurance of Bituminous Pavement, Aggregate, Bitumen

and Bitumen Emulsions.

3) Proficient in Marshall Mix design, Micro surfacing, Chip seal and dust Management at the mines.

4) Experience in handling sophisticated instruments.

Pay: From ?60,000.00 per month
