About The Role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant.
In this role, you will: • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics.
• Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models.
• Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance.
• Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals.
• Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff.
• Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies.
Required Qualifications :• 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications: • Knowledge and understanding of Commercial/Consumer Lending practices, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of the key factors impacting credit offerings, including credit risks and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of risk management practices, extensive knowledge of financial data
• Demonstrated proficient Cognos BI or Cognos Analytics report development experience.
• Experience with dimensional report development within Cognos Analytics
• Strong understanding of multidimensional cubes and experience reporting from them
• Strong understanding of other Cognos BI Tools -
+ Creating and maintaining Framework Manager models
+ PowerPlay Transformer and PowerPlay cubes
+ Event Studio, Jobs, Dashboards, Stories, Data Modules, Data Sets, etc.
+ Familiarity with Cognos security administration
• Familiarity with Cognos Planning Analytics/TM1 and comfort using TM1 Perspectives or TM1 Architect
• Experience with other BI tools and & software like Tableau, Business Objects, Power BI, SAS, Python, DataStage, etc.
• Proficient experience in identifying and evaluating data trends, isolating root cause, and providing swift/thorough resolution.
• Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
• Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Strong understanding of Data warehouse and business intelligence concepts and best practices
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, and ability to write efficient SQL queries.

• In collaboration with existing team, function includes the defining of requirements to support a variety of partners in Credit Risk, Finance/Controller, Audit, Control Oversight, Line of Business, Technology, and Testing teams for researching and explaining questions related to supported reporting and analytics.
• Responsible for production process execution, data reconciliation, and documentation in alignment with governance policies.
• Research and remediate data, production, and control issues in partnership with other SMEs and teams.
• Meet business intelligence deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, Credit Risk procedures, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Lead projects and mentor less experienced staff.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, or computer sciences
• Relevant experience in the Banking & Financial Services Industry domain.
• Relevant experience creating artifacts such as procedure documents, flow charts, and control evidence.
• 5+ years of experience in Cognos Analytics 11.x or higher
• Strong analytics skills and understanding of loan portfolio products and risk drivers.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
