(Apex group) is a leading third-party Management Company providing services to EU domiciled collective investment schemes in accordance with Luxembourg and Irish regulations. To sustain the growing activity, we are looking for a motivated Data Analyst to support operational day-to-day activity of the Risk and Investment Team based in Luxemburg. The Data Analyst will have the responsibility of the overall data management uploaded from Fund Administrators into the inhouse database and will be also in charge of the data preparation work prior to the upload into Risk & Investment Compliance engines.Key Responsibilities includes:

• Data reconciliation: ensure the completeness of portfolios received from Fund Administrators.
• Mapping of all unrecognized positions into the database: financial instruments and issuers (Bloomberg Identifiers), classification of nonstandard financial instruments (OTC derivatives, underlying, counterparts, unlisted equities);
• Controls: perform sanity checks of the database / portfolios loaded, collate and aggregate data, follow up with Fund administrator of pending items.
• Prepare the risk modelling of financial instruments prior injection into the risk engine: unmapped positions, OTC, complex instruments and any manual modelling.
• Investment Compliance support: exceptions management and investigation, Eligibility/Transferability analysis.
• Ad hoc queries: support onboarding stream by mapping model portfolios, data collection for regulatory reports; securitization pre-trade check.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or a master's degree in finance, Engineering, Economics or equivalents.
• CFA/FRM certifications will be considered as an advantage.
• Working experience: 9-12 years of experience in Fund Administration (NAV calculation, valuation, custody) or equivalents.
• Strong experience with Data quality checks and data manipulation in relation to financial assets.
• Knowledge of MSCI/RiskMetrics, Bloomberg, or other Data providers is an advantage.
• Strong quantitative orientation and analytical skills.
• Extensive knowledge of all financial instruments (vanilla, derivatives, OTC, structured products);
• Ability to interact with finance professionals.
• Knowledge of VBA and SQL is an advantage.
• Ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative; highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated.
• Highly motivated and fast learning individual.
