Senior Release Management, ChennaiREFID596435:About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and dynamic professional to join our Engineering organization in primarily managing Release Management deliverables.In this role, you will primarily be working on Release Management task, the candidate will work on Release Management tasks. Also expected to provide debugging support during technical bridge calls for critical outages and degradation.
The candidate is also responsible for creating knowledge management documentation and submitting platform tickets for any software defects they have identified and reproduced in lower environments. He/she will also be part of an on-call rotational support during weekends and after-hours support as needed.To succeed in this role:The candidate should have hands-on experience working as a release manager with strong proven experience and working knowledge in supporting cloud hosted production applications deployments.Core Technology SkillsStrong working knowledge in Atlassian\'s ADLM JIRA and ServiceNowStrong working hands on experience in release management processStrong working knowledge in Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworkGood hands-on experience in writing release notesGood hands-on experience in managing deployment callsGood hands-on experience in running release readiness reviews callsGood documentation experience in confluenceShould have good connect across multiple teams such as scrum, PMO, Product.Able to publish metrics on code management and code defects as part of metrics gathering.Functional SkillsRM is responsible for scheduling, planning & controlling the software\'s development and delivery process.As an RM, you will be working hand in hand with the various Development and DevOps teams daily to make them deliver the features & services on time and will manage both IT operations and developers.You will be responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of release as per the schedule and within budget.As an RM, you will have to work closely with the End - End Testing teams and performance testing teams for completing the testing stage and deployment stage in Non-Prod environment also work closely with the application production team.You will have to maintain proper coordination between these teams to update the project related information.You need to define the strategic usage of release management tools to manage the revenue for the release. Overall, you will be concerned with planning, testing, tracking, release, deployment, communication, and risk management.Responsibilities:Manage risks & resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, & schedulesPlanning release windows and cycles across portfolios, componentsManage relationships working on interrelated processes, change approvalsCommunicating crucial release plans and changesMeasure & monitor progress to achieve a timely software release within defined budgetary limits and defined quality standardsCoordinating processes between different teams (possibly in various locations)Communicating necessary release details to business teamsManaging, planning, and negotiating release activitiesInitiating and overseeing progressive release processesCoordinate Org release content & efforts based on OS updates & third-party appsProducing deployment, implementation, and run books plansConducting release readiness and milestone reviewsMaintaining release schedules for every core service & ensuring it aligns with major vendors and other stakeholdersWorking with release engineers to comprehend code merges & branch ramificationsLeading and coordinating checklist and deployment plan executionDeveloping automation and release management tools along with scripts necessary for the construction, continuous integration, and deployment of software releaseResearching new software development and the best methods and techniques for managing configurations regarding a business\'s existing needsEnsuring that releases operate as per expectationsEnsuring that requirements are clear across dependent project streams with an effective releaseInitiating and overseeing the development of technical guides and training for external functionalityManaging the development of deliverables into production environmentsValidating release notesDeployment management of deliverables to the test environment particularly guaranteeing that the external dependent items are available during the test runtimeAvailability for all CR and deployments.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or related field8 years equivalent work experienceAdditional InformationAbout NIQNIQ is the world\'s leading consumer intelligence company, delivering the most complete understanding of consumer buying behavior and revealing new pathways to growth.
