Take a leap of certainty with Ansys. Summary / Role Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Engineer with a proven track record of at least 5 years in Python development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in web frameworks such as Flask and FastAPI, be comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes, and possess prior experience in developing cloud-based applications. As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will play a key role in our research and development efforts, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge solutions and pushing the boundaries of innovation. Key Duties And Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement Python-based solutions for research and development projects. Lead the development and maintenance of web applications using Flask and FastAPI. Create and manage containerized applications using Docker for consistent deployment across various environments. Orchestrate container deployments and manage scalable applications with Kubernetes. Architect, develop, and optimize cloud-based applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the R&D team. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of developed applications. Document code, processes, and system architecture for knowledge sharing and future reference. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements And Experience Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Python development, including a strong portfolio of projects. Proficiency in web frameworks like Flask and FastAPI. Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker. Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration. Prior experience in developing cloud-based applications. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Solid understanding of software development principles, including software design, testing, and version control. Preferred Qualifications And Skills Master\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices. Certification in relevant technologies.
