We are looking for a lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Product Technology team in Chennai

Bright-River provides Visual Content services to the larger e-commerce and retail companies around the world. Our 2D and CGI visual experts deliver product visual content daily using our in-house developed platform and applications. Our Business Technology team is a dedicated team of engineers and developers working on our application stack and platform. We are spread across our offices in Chennai, Netherlands, New York and Bangladesh.

Technical and Professional Expertise:

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software test engineer, Software Tester.
• Ability to understand both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Strong Knowledge in Software QA Methodologies, Tools & Processes, ability to build a new QA environment.

• Experience in writing Clear, Concise & Comprehensive test plans, test cases, performance or security testing.

• Proven work experience in test automation tools as well as manual testing.

• Good knowledge of MSSQL DB testing, SPA Web applications, API and backend technologies.

• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum development processes.

• Knowledge on Microsoft Azure Cloud, CI/CD technology using Gitlab will be added bonus.

• Fluent in English

Job requirements

Few chores you either own or contribute towards:

Using outstanding QA and testing skills, you contribute to the deployment and operations of our in-house applications. The applications are used daily by our Bright River colleagues and our customers.

You will take ownership for the quality of an assigned project and its features.

Prepare detailed\xd9\xab comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Plan and coordinate testing activities\xd9\xab thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs.

Build and execute automation scripts using open source tools.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers, operations and product owner) to identify system requirements.

Track quality assurance metrics\xd9\xab like defect densities and open defect counts.

Maintain relevant knowledge about new testing tools and test strategies.

You will be doing some out of hours based upon the releases.
