Role Summary
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be identifying the testing scope, objectives and ensuring test coverage and efficiency. You would need a good understanding of the direction the field is taking within the context of Agile teams and DevOps and applied within a business services context. Within this role you'll be helping to lead and develop future test strategy as part of a fast-paced change program working closely with Senior Engineers. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with the Development teams and technical leads to help to embed the new approaches and best practice within our development teams
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Strong experience of building, implementing, and directing quality assurance principles across teams to deliver quality outcomes.
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, in a continuous delivery environment
• Experience with the following test automation tools: SOAP UI, Bruno, Cucumber or Gherkin, Selenium
• Knowledge with performance testing tool: Apache JMeter
• CICD tools such as Git, AWS, Jenkins, BitBucket
Key Responsibilities
• Focus on an Automation first approach and integration with Modern DevOps practices
• Provide leadership and technical expertise within functional and non-functional Test Automation and Testing
• Develop, maintain, and execute test suites like Smoke or Sanity or Regression or Performance in accordance with business requirements.
• Work with development teams to managing defects, managing or facilitating defect triage meetings
• Documenting and presenting test results back to stake holders or product owners
• Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and Best Practice
Qualifications Qualifications
• ISTQB OR ISEB Testing Certified or equivalent experience
• 5 to 8 years of experience as a Senior QA Engineer
