Sr QA Engineer

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• Looking for an individual who has proven track record in academics and a seasoned QA member of product development team. One who understands the SDLC and the significance of automation and owns features from an end-to-end development to delivery lifecycle. An ideal candidate should cover the depth and breadth of the product and features and maintain adequate test cases and suites to ensure the quality and maintainability of the product and integration contracts.
• The candidate should possess good problem solving and communication skills to effectively author the test cases and communicate the same with the stakeholders such as Product development, product management, customer support etc.
• Candidate should possess good exposure and expertise in automation tools both on the front end and backend API automation.
• Knowledge of data domain is preferable. Familiarity with various cloud, relational and document DB sources is an added advantage.
• Incumbent will be part of a scrum team with responsibilities ranging from automation of the sprint deliverables, integration testing, feature sign off on various deployment environments and participate in customer POCs and certifications. Should be willing to methodically document and help the documentation team with the appropriate contributions to release docs, admin guides etc. as applicable.

What We'd Like to See

• Proficiency in testing SaaS products across the top Cloud development and delivery platforms.
• Experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Expertise in back-end API and UI automation.
• Experience in Linux based VM operations. Installation and maintenance of databases , and software utilities on Linux based VMs
• Demonstrate ability to plan, document, evaluate, track, and communicate testing results to ensure error-free deployments.
• Good experience in Functional, Integration, Regression, System, Ad hoc and Smoke testing.
• Must have experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies. Ability to work with Product Manager, Business Analyst, and Developers in sprint grooming, planning, retrospective meetings, and to provide testing support in bi-weekly releases.
• Should interpret design and technical specifications and provide QA time estimates.
• Analyse test results to discover and report on defects.
• Provide status updates and identify as well as communicate risks in a timely manner.
• Design, create Test Cases based on requirements and other supporting documents.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Zephyr tools.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills. A good team player.
• Four-years degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, information technology, or systems engineering
