Senior Project Manager, Global Technology
Bangalore/Gurgaon, India The Corporate Applications Solution Centre is responsible for all business application change, support and maintenance of the platforms used by colleagues working in the following corporate support areas, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Workplace, Finance Operations, Tax, Investments, Actuarial, Marketing and Communications. The Project Management team is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects when changes to these key systems are needed. Delivering complex projects to successful completion in the best interests of the customer. Managing Budget, and risks and ensuring project benefits are delivered. Key interactions with the Analysts, Service Managers, Project Management Team Leaders, Analyst Team Leaders, Business Partners, Business Stakeholders and Resource Managers. You will be managing medium to large-complex Projects based on business needs, which may include discretional transformational Projects/Programs.   • Manage complex projects within the framework and governance model in use at AXA XL (both Agile and Waterfall).
  • Comprehensive Project definition, including scope, cost, time, and quality estimates.
  • Build effective project teams and establish excellent working relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date project plans and budget forecasts collaboratively with all key project team members.
  • Effective risk, issue and dependency management, proactively identifying and mitigating items to keep projects on track.
  • Manage scope, including change controls.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced Project Managers.
  • Initiate improvements to existing Project Management and Governance processes.
  • Establish effective partnership with the Project Management Office.

  • Relevant years of experience managing moderate to complex projects \\ programs.
  • Insurance industry or experience driving projects of a technical nature.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions based on a good understanding of business objectives or technological objectives.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective problem-solving with a willingness to pursue creative solutions.
  • Experience with benefits-driven change and minimum viable product concepts.
  • Prince 2, SCRUM Master or PMP Certification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Proficient user of project management tools for example MS Project, MS Office Suite, and Financial Tracking.
