This role in summary
------------------------


The position is responsible to lead and execute design and development of component/ module /subsystem by preparing concepts in Mechanical Structures,Builds on organizational/process knowledge, and understands business needs. Solves complex problems, trade-off & prioritizes design decisions.

Your responsibilities will include
--------------------------------------


• Responsible for generating and reviewing engineering design concepts at Subsystem /module/component level and aimed at improving performance, increasing quality and/ or optimizing cost.
• Drive engineering calculations as required supporting Design integrity.
• Evaluate, recommend the developed concepts in terms of engineering, manufacturing and suggest best concept, priority of selection, and other trade-off if necessary.
• Coordinate and effectively communicate the Design Concepts with different stakeholders during Project/ Design Reviews
• Responsible to understand project requirement/physics of problem/ Design requirements
• Responsible for converting Consumer Requirements into complex Technical problems and perform component level designs independently and What if scenario analysis and cost comparison analysis.
• Leads/contributes/accountable towards systematic problem solving to close knowledge gaps as applicable.
• Perform /Support/contribute DFMEA, Tolerance stack up analysis and other preventive action steps during product design and development.
• + Apply DFx( DFA,DFM,DFR,DFS,DFSS) methodologies in Design independently
• Drive material selection based on functional requirements.
• Create product / subsystem specific test plans as per standards to get the design changes approved.
• Responsible for DVP&R at Subsystem, module & components

B.Tech/ BE Mech , ME / MTECH

AGE

28 - 32

EXP

BE 6-10 yrs ME 5-8 yrs

Example:-Automotive Industry/ Service industry / Aerospace

• Companies like LG, Tech Mahindra, L& T Infotech, Emerson, Eaton,Rockwell Collins etc.


Preferred skills and experiences

• Perform /Support/contribute DFMEA, Tolerance stack up analysis and other preventive action steps during product design and development.
• Engineering Concept Designs for plastic and Sheet Metal parts
• DFMEAs
• Value engineering ideas
• Tolerance Stack Analysis
• DFX tool usage for driving engineering solutions
