Government and public sector transactions services, sits under EY's Transaction Advisory Services practice, a market-leading, multi-disciplinary team, working with leading businesses across a range of industries. This practice is in a unique position to deliver implementable strategies given the firm's sector depth, transaction perspectives, and operational insights.The practice provides experience working with various sectors such as, Transport, Social & Health care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, Economic Development Advisory , Water waste & Sanitation, Power & Utilities and Public Finance & Management.SaT - TCF - Lead Advisory-Project Finance :Strategy and Transactions enables clients to reimagine ecosystems, reshape portfolios and reinvent for a better future. Using our Capital Agenda framework, we work with clients to find answers to today's toughest strategic, financial, operational and commercial questions. We help corporates, private equity, governments, sovereign wealth funds, private and family businesses, and educational institutions with their key financial issues. Market and Industry Knowledge
Economic Trends: Understanding macroeconomic trends, global markets, and the investment landscape is critical to recognize emerging opportunities and assess the attractiveness of sectors for investment.
Sector Expertise: Detailed knowledge of specific industries such as manufacturing, technology, real estate, renewable energy, etc., is crucial to identify opportunities and understand investor needs.
2. Investment Analysis and Strategy
Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial statements, investment proposals, and economic data to assess the profitability and risk of investment opportunities.
Cost-Benefit Analysis: Assess the potential return on investment (ROI), internal rate of return (IRR), and other financial metrics that would interest investors.
Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks (political, economic, legal) associated with investments.
3. Regulatory and Policy Knowledge
Investment Policies and Laws: Deep knowledge of national and international investment laws, incentives, tax policies, and regulations that affect investment.
International Trade Agreements: Familiarity with bilateral and multilateral trade agreements, tariffs, and trade regulations that impact investment decisions.
Government Incentives and Programs: Understanding the various incentives offered by governments to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), such as tax breaks, land grants, or investment subsidies.
4. Project Management
Investment Facilitation: The ability to guide investors through the process, including approvals, legal documentation, partnerships, and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with government agencies, private sector companies, local stakeholders, and international organizations to create investment-friendly environments.
5. Data Management and Technology Tools
CRM and Database Management: Use of CRM tools to manage relationships with potential investors and maintain detailed records of all engagements.
Market Intelligence Software: Proficiency in using tools like Bloomberg, Statista, and other market research platforms to collect and analyze investment data.
GIS Tools: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping potential investment zones or regions, considering factors like infrastructure, workforce, and accessibility.
6. Negotiation and Communication Skills
Investment Pitching: Ability to craft compelling pitches and investment proposals that clearly highlight the business environment, advantages, and opportunities in a specific market.
Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating investment deals, including terms of contracts, pricing, incentives, and long-term partnership conditions.
Cross-Cultural Communication: Understanding cultural differences and being able to communicate effectively with foreign investors from different backgrounds and regions.Skills and attributesTo qualify for the role you must have
