FOLU aims to provide the practical connections, the evidence bases for action and a vision for change to drive a food and land use system transformation. We do this by: Partnering with those best-placed to develop and deliver messages regarding food and land use systems transformation within a given political economy Working with national partners to develop compelling, evidence-based analyses, strategic land-use planning frameworks, pathways towards sustainable land-use and food systems, and policy recommendations and Creating platforms and partnership models to encourage multi-stakeholder collaboration, both nationally and globally. Food and Land Use Coalition in India The Food and Land Use Coalition in India is a coalition of institutions working to support the Government of India\'s efforts to bring about a more sustainable food and land use economy for the country. The aim of the Coalition is to convene and inspire key Indian stakeholders with a view to accelerating globally significant action which addresses the important development, climate, environment, biodiversity and health/nutrition challenges India faces in the coming decades. The Food and Land Use Coalition in India supports policy research, engage directly with the Indian Government and other stakeholders to support the shift towards sustainable land use and food systems, and enables India\'s rich experience and diverse perspectives to be shared with the international FOLU community. The Food and Land Use Coalition in India comprises high-level policy engagement with national and sub-national decision-makers in the public and private sector. FOLU Coalition in India includes Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), Revitalizing Rainfed Agriculture Network (RRAN), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and WRI India, and with a detailed integrated country modelling effort, led by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) with support from International Crop Research Institute for the Semi-arid and Tropics (ICRISAT). Position Overview: FOLU India is looking to recruit a Senior Project Associate with an advanced degree in agriculture, natural resource management, environmental conservation or other related subjects with a minimum of 6 years of relevant post-study experience. The selected candidate will work closely with a Senior Manager and FOLU India Country Coordinator as well as with the FOLU India core partners to support its sustainable agriculture initiative. The role provides an opportunity to interact with various national and sub-national stakeholders and help implement sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices in the project landscapes. The candidate will have the opportunity to coordinate and provide input towards planning the long-term implementation of sustainable and regenerative agriculture in selected landscapes. The responsibilities also include supporting the FOLU PMU in compiling the action agenda document for the FOLU India platform. The candidate will actively participate in developing activities such as identifying and writing proposals, engaging with partners and other opportunities. The candidate will be required to independently manage a research project, resources, stakeholder engagement, travel and represent FOLU India at various platforms. Responsibilities: I. Project Coordination (50%) . Support the project partners to synchronize the research and development, and implementation of landscape level sustainable and regenerative agriculture implementation plans under the FOLU India Sustainable Rainfed Agriculture Programme (FISRAP). . Coordinate the FISRAP activities to ensure the achievement of milestones within the planned timeline. o Be responsible for ensuring adherence to the implementation of the programme frameworks, achievement and timely delivery of milestones and timelines. o Ensure timely project reporting. . Facilitate research, establish collaborations and implement the landscape-level plan in all the FISRAP landscapes in India. . Facilitate the India - Ethiopia collaboration under the IKEA Foundation supported agriculture programme. . Support the FOLU India partners for knowledge and data exchange and facilitate the implementation of landscape level sustainable and regenerative agriculture implementation plans. . Work with the FOLU Project Management Unit (FOLU PMU) and the project partners to develop a proposal for phase 2 of the programme. . Provide support to the preparation of high quality reports through detailed programme and process documentation and timely reporting of progress to the relevant platforms, including the funding agency and FOLU Core team. . Stay updated about the landscape-level programme developments, success stories, inspiring case studies etc., through constant interaction with the partners and field visits. . Coordinate with Communications for the supply of material and dissemination of Communications products. II. Research and writing (30%) . Lead finalization of the FOLU India action agenda. This will entail working with the FOLU partners on the action agenda document, conducting the analysis required, incorporating the revisions and liaison with the RDI team. . Support the drafting of reports and peer-review manuscripts, case studies, outreach materials, presentations, and blogs. . Present complex information clearly and concisely and communicate research and non-research findings to focused and diverse audiences such as governments, the private sector, and community-based organizations. . Represent FOLU India\'s work in internal meetings and external conferences. III. Programme Development and Strategy (20%) . Identify opportunities for replicating and scaling sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices and contribute to identifying sources of funding, field sites and partners. . Identify fundraising opportunities and contribute to fundraising efforts, including pitching ideas, writing proposals, and developing multi-year project proposals. . Support effective communication, organizing meetings and consultations. Qualifications and Requirements . Masters or equivalent degree in a related field mentioned above. . Understanding of food and land use systems and familiarity with agriculture, food and land use related policies schemes and programmes in India. . Minimum six years of full-time work experience within civil society, government or private sector dealing with programme management. . Experience in managing multi-stakeholder programmes and demonstrated ability to work with efficiency, particularly as part of a team. . Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with a focus on strategic challenges and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, both orally and in writing . Demonstrated ability (through published work, articles, etc.) to write and comprehend effectively. . Proven track record in stakeholder engagement, preparing programme reports and developing and implementing work plans. . Comfort working with staff at all levels of experience. . Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and work with minimal oversight. Salary and Benefits: 11,00,000 to 13,00,000 CTC PA Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills.
