About the Role We are currently searching for a Senior Program Manager, Ethics & Compliance - APAC who will support the work of building a world-class compliance program for Uber in the APAC region. What You\'ll Do The role includes Operations Compliance and traditional Ethics & Compliance responsibilities, with the focus being on Operations Compliance for India & South Asia while also providing support for ANZ and North Asia, as needed You will work on the implementation and maintenance of the structures comprising the APAC Compliance program, including cross-functional work to implement and maintain a fit-for-purpose Compliance program in the region to help ensure that our Ethics and Compliance program provides effective prevention, detection and remediation of potential misconduct that could result in compliance or ethics violations You will conduct independent monitoring and reviews into regulatory and operations compliance issues and map out the risk landscape and provide strategic recommendations on addressing any identified issues and ensure timely resolution by coordinating with local and centralised teams The role includes supporting design and execution of an APAC wide comms strategy for the APAC E&C team Basic Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in Consulting, Audit, Strategy, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Investment Banking, Finance or similar field Be of unimpeachable integrity and a role model of the Company\'s values Advanced Microsoft & Google Suites proficiency What You\'ll Need Two (2) years experience in a regulated industry implementing compliance or similar frameworks (Big 4 accounting firms, management consulting and/or in-house) Working knowledge of risk management strategies and relevant tools Outstanding analytical skills with experience of synthesising data into information (SQL proficiency strongly preferred) Able to work collegially, but also a self-starter with good project management skills who can navigate independently with little direction or oversight, translate strategy into action and meet deadlines Prior experience with system/data governance audits, GRC systems, technical program management and/or process management (including process/controls re-design and optimization) A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, CISA, CIA, CFA, CCEP, CFE, LL.B., J.D. etc. We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
