Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in BMC! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. IS&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, because we give a 360 degrees view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer. We use cutting-edge technologies to manage BMC's infrastructure and showcase it to the customers - program is called BMC on BMC!
Basic Requirements: Candidate must possess a specific set of skills and competencies. Soft Skills:

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex IT environments, identify automation opportunities, and design efficient workflows to address business requirements.
• Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying root causes of automation failures or performance issues and implementing effective solutions to mitigate them.
• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, convey technical concepts, and document automation processes.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving IT environments, technology changes, and organizational priorities.
• Attention to Detail: Diligence in ensuring accuracy and precision in automation configurations, scripts, and documentation.

Training and Certification:

• BMC Training Courses: Completion of BMC training courses specific to BMC Helix Automation Console and TrueSight Automation for Servers to acquire foundational knowledge and skills.
• Certifications: Pursuit of relevant certifications, such as BMC Certified Professional - BMC Helix Automation, BMC Certified Professional - TrueSight Automation for Servers, or other industry certifications in IT automation and infrastructure management.

Experience Requirements:

• Previous Experience: Previous experience working with automation tools, IT management platforms, or related technologies is highly beneficial.
• Project Experience: Participation in projects involving the implementation, configuration, and optimization of BMC Helix Automation Console and TrueSight Automation for Servers.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay Updated: Commitment to staying updated on new features, best practices, and industry trends related to BMC Helix Automation Console, TrueSight Automation for Servers, and IT automation technologies Holistically.

Professional Development: Engagement in continuous learning activities, such as attending webinars, participating in user groups, and pursuing further education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.


Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in IT Operations: Understanding of IT operations concepts, including infrastructure components, server management, networking, and security.
• Knowledge of IT Automation: Familiarity with automation principles, scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python), and automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) , Infrastructure as a Code
• BMC Helix Automation Console: Implement and drive the relationships with Product Management and R&D to improve the useability of the BMC Helix Automation Console interface for managing automation policies, workflows, and resources.
• TrueSight Automation for Servers: Experience in deploying and configuring TrueSight Automation for Servers to automate server provisioning, configuration management, and compliance tasks.
• Integration Skills: Proficiency in integration with information security products to ingest, analyze and remediate vulnerabilities and risks, ability to grasp the concepts on how to integrate with BMC Helix Automation Console and TrueSight Automation for Servers with other IT systems and tools, such as IT service management (ITSM) platforms, discovery and monitoring solutions. Familiarity and/or ability to learn and support APIs.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to automation workflows, scripts, and system configurations. Experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux
