Overview: As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that support our software development and deployment processes. You will work closely with development teams to ensure efficient and reliable operation of systems and automation of workflows. Your expertise in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring will be crucial in ensuring scalable and resilient platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and platforms that support our applications and services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and scaling of systems.
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) for microservices-based applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the platform infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across all platforms.
• Automate tasks and processes using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in platform engineering and cloud technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support for production systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated provisioning and management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect) is a plus.
