Johnson and Johnson Medtech India is recruiting for DePuySynthes Orthopedic Commercial Operations & Channel management, India and South Asia, located in Mumbai


• Develop and implement Go-to-market business model, Digital Transformation in the alignment of appropriate market growth strategies of each of orthopedic business unit.
• Ensure effective implementation and execution of policies and plans to direct the growth of the Company and to achieve both long-term and short-range objectives.
• Work with BU leads in Orthopedics and cross functional team business teams to drive operational excellence. Support the Orthopedics team to achieve the short and long term objectives by setting optimized internal ecosystem to run businesses in efficient, effective and sustainable ways.
• Drive value-added & mutually beneficial Customer partnerships and facilitating for JJMI to become preferred partner of choice.
• The position reports to Senior Director, Orthopedic business unit in JJMI.
• Credo Based Leadership and inculcate a strong culture of compliance

Key Responsibilities:

Business Operations

• Champion business development of new channels, new market entries and business model innovations to drive value-added, mutually beneficial partnerships and effectively builds strong customer relationships with key stakeholders in internal function and channel partners.
• Develop operational platform to manage and optimize CAPEX across the orthopedic business unit.
• Lead senior level negotiations optimizing contractual opportunities which cement long term supply arrangements, understand the channel priorities, and develop understanding of to create long term partnerships with distributors.
• Manages and evaluates activities of key customer accounts, negotiates contracts of major customer accounts, and provides guidance to sales team for sales, channel, category management
• Manages commercial operation, channel and CSR management across the business units in Orthopedic business unit.
• Collaborates with Finance, Supply Chain /Logistics, Legal and Health Care Compliance Departments to drive business imperatives and ensure compliance with customer needs.
• Possesses and exhibits vast understanding of the changing market dynamics in healthcare and understands the responsibility and requirements on the organization to continue to compete as viable player which includes market knowledge of Health Economics, industry trends, customer segmentation, customer data knowledge and buying process.
Achieve high levels of commercial teams' satisfaction with operational management of product and service placement for external customers.

• Lead development of team members & focus on building areas of strength
• Aid in career development through effective career conversations through the year
• Plan strong succession pipelines for all critical roles
• Create & execute development plans & action plans for all team members

Qualifications - External

Education:

• Education Background: MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills:

• Experience: Experience commercial team preferably in an MNC setup. Prior experience in people management is essential for this role.
• Channel (distributor) management, both government & private healthcare account and hospital business sales experience is preferred.
• Strong healthcare industry knowledge and experience is preferred
