THE OPPORTUNITY As a Senior Network Engineer at Xactly Corporation,youll support the backbone of the Xactly SaaS platform running in a multi cloud environment. Youll be working on the network design, architecture planning, troubleshooting and problem resolution. Youll need to have a passion for wanting to take a software based approach to solving infrastructure challenges and automate those solutions in this role.
THE TEAM Xactlys Production Operations team is a global & diversified team with a focus on working with cutting-edge tools & technologies. All members of the team are encouraged to operate independently and with highest levels of accountability, while also being willing to work collaboratively in training, learning and developing of new skills. This team is dedicated to providing 24x7x365 system availability, conducting regular maintenance, release and upkeep for the infrastructure and service.
THE SKILL SET

• 5+ years of experience as a network engineer, preferably in a cloud Saas environment
• Deep knowledge in one or more areas of networking technology, whether traditional or cloud-based
• Intermediate or better experience working with cloud technologies, network related or otherwise
• Experience working with source control systems, and specifically some form of Infrastructure as Code technology
• Experience in Automating Network Services using Ansible, Terraform and CloudFormation
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of standards and best practices in basic networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP, IPSec, NAT, DNS, DHCP, Security and Network Design)
• Progressive experience in networking, network security, VPN's, enterprise routing, BGP, L3-7 switching
• Deep understanding of security concepts and putting those concepts into practice in a network environment. Firewall, IDS, DDoS, etc. experience strongly preferred
• Professional level of experience with developing highly resilient multi-site, high availability and disaster recoverable network architectures
• Experience with public clouds - OCI or AWS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bachelors/Masters degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOULL

• Get your bearings, understand the network layout and the processes we follow in Production Operations
• Start building relationships with internal teams and team members who youll be working with and interacting with regularly
• Support network maintenance tasks and execute changes in production

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOULL

• Complete knowledge of the end to end network
• Start identifying areas/items to improve upon and building a project list

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOULL

• You will be well versed on the Xactly network, its architecture and be engaged in new / improved architecture planning

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOULL

• Be capable of planning, ordering, implementing and configuration of any new networks brought on
• Driving network maintenance tasks monthly as needed
• Pursuing and implementing industry stands in the network
