BU Overview Nexer Digital are a friendly DevOps team who works with user groups, customers and our own technical consultants to build successful digital solutions using both waterfall and agile processes. We also provide a support and maintenance service to our existing clients through our ITIL based service desk offering. With all our work quality controlled by our QA team. We invest in our team and believe strongly in collaboration and mentoring. We actively support our team members to attend conferences globally such as Umbraco CodeGarden, Umbraco UK Festival, OptCon as well as SQL Saturday. We encourage our team to participate in event and meetup attendance. We also invest in trainings and have received offsite and onsite training from Umbraco, Optimizely, Royal National Institute for the Blind, NCC Group and others in the past few years. All our developers have attended courses for either Umbraco (including certification) or Optimizely (including certification). We have several technical partnerships within the industry including: Umbraco Platinum Partner Optimizely Partner uCommerce Partner Microsoft Gold Partner Role Overview Required skills: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in ASP.NET development. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Umbraco or Optimizely development, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript and jQuery, with a solid understanding of HTML and CSS. Solid knowledge of website performance optimization and SEO best practices, with familiarity in accessibility standards. Strong understanding of back-end development using C# and ASP.NET MVC. Experience with version control systems like Git, SVN, etc. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps for scalable application deployment and management. Experience in utilizing SQL Server for efficient database management and optimization. Familiarity with XML and JSON data formats, and experience in working with RESTful APIs. Experience from working in Agile projects Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Umbraco/Optimizely-based websites, ensuring high-quality coding standards, performance, and security. Customize Umbraco/Optimizely templates, create content types, and implement site-specific functionalities. Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and back-end developers to implement design specifications and ensure seamless integration. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Umbraco/Optimizely CMS, website functionality, and third-party integrations. Optimize websites for performance and search engine optimization (SEO). Stay up to date with Umbraco/Optimizely developments and best practices to continually improve our websites and development processes. Work together with the onsite team consisting of project manager, squad lead, front-end developers, tester and UX designer Work together and alone on tasks for multiple and clients Desirable skills: Test Driven Development Building mobile, adaptive and responsive solutions Umbraco Cloud Headless CMS / Static site generators Optimizely experience Jira Illustrative Responsibilities For us, having a dynamic, competent, and enthusiastic developer is an integral part of the DevOps team.
