The ideal candidate will support and be responsible to participate in the planning, building and support of the Network security Engineering program. As an individual contributor, Network Security Engineer will be working in collaboration with all disciplines across the information technology groups, as well as business units, in providing hands-on and working on plans for the integration of information security requirements into solutions provided in Network Security Engineering.Role and Responsibilities:

• Passionately being a key member of a \xe2\x80\x9cFollow-the-Sun\xe2\x80\x9d in security Engineering team.
• Responsible for the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of network security-related hardware and software.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain web application firewall systems to protect our web applications against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to integrate the web application firewall and ensuring seamless traffic management.
• Understand web applications at a sufficient level to work with developers to implement protective controls that may need to be customized for specific applications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of WAF configurations, policies, and procedures. Prepare reports and metrics related to web application security, including trends, incident summaries, and mitigation strategies.
• Awareness of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security technologies including IPS, DDoS solutions.
• Additional expertise is desired in the technologies that are used in the environment to maintain network security.
• Support automation for security tools management and workflow integration.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Good to have advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSA, or other security certifications are desired).
• At least 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with minimum 2 years in network security, and 2 years in Web Application Firewall (WAF) Development.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing web application firewalls, preferably with experience in Cloudflare.
• Knowledge of web application security concepts, OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and related mitigation techniques.
• Possess hands-on Deploying Cisco Firepower IPS/IDS solutions.
• Basic understanding in the following: DNS, Firewalls, SSL Certificates, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
• Flexible to work in shifts, rotational on-call & be available for business meetings/team deliverables outside of one\xe2\x80\x99s shift.
• Ability to coordinate in completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and capability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry developments and emerging technologies.
