Develops and executes medical affairs projects in the region for either a specific therapeutic area or across several therapeutic areas.MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESRepresents Medtronic as the Clinical/ medical face within the country/region and acts at the same time as the voice of the local customers and authorities towards relevant stakeholders at Medtronic for the assigned therapeutic areas.Establishes effective and systematic collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial Health Economic, Legal, RA stakeholder, global team), physicians and hospitals and triggers the conversation locally around unmet clinical needs, outcome measurements and improving quality of care.Maintains a deep understanding of the science behind our products.Develops competitive intelligence in our product space.Develops, implements and oversees integrated evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans for relevant Medtronic organizations.Develop Real world evidence and projects in line with regional and global strategiesFacilitate Investigator initiated studies / External Research Programs (ERP) submission, tracking, and local administration all in alignment with existing SOPsProvide Medical strategic inputs and support to clinical studies.Ensures effective objective value propositions are developed and articulated for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders (patients, health care providers, payers, government agencies, health technology assessment organizations, public) through appropriate channelsBuilds the right level of knowledge in reimbursement, health management in the country/region to address those with relevant clinical solutions.Drives education and outreach for safe and effective use of our products.Lead Health Care Professional (HCP) education and engagement plansDevelop and lead Physician Advisory boards and consultanciesEnsures awareness of local clinical activity and new clinical evidence and provides input to sales & marketing leadersAdvises local marketing organization on outcome of publications and advises on a communication strategyProvides expert review of marketing/sales presentations, scientific communications, and publicationsDrive clinical evidence dissemination to internal and external stakeholdersIf needed, provides inputs to supporting tendersBe clinical representative of Medtronic to competent authoritiesJOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE/EDUCATIONMBBS/MD/MSIn depth knowledge of local laws & regulations for clinical research and codes of pharmaceutical conduct and practiceJOB EXPERIENCEMinimum 4-5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree in, Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, clinical research clinical marketing roles.SKILLSAutonomy- Individual contributorStrong communication and networking skillsAbility to think in the bigger picture and have global perspectiveStrong judgment & interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving & influencing skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teamsProject management and scientific writing skillsAbility & comfortable to ensure strict adherence to regulationsAbility to multitask & to effectively deal with competing business prioritiesStrong business savvinessCustomer focusAbility & desire to work cross business.Willing to travel extensively in the country/regionPHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
