If you have the passion and technical expertise to thrive in an innovative and agile environment, we want to learn more about you.What is this role about?McGraw-Hill Education, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for a Senior Master Data Management (MDM) Engineer for our Data & Analytics Group.Senior MDM Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide MDM solutions focused on customer and product.This role ensures high-quality, consistent, and governed master data across various systems such as ERP, CRM, and BI platforms. The engineer develops master data models, establishes governance policies, and optimizes data integration pipelines to maintain accuracy and reliability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they drive master data standardization, resolve inconsistencies, and enhance decision-making through clean and structured master data.In addition to technical expertise, an MDM Engineer will be solving different problems and will be working on the MDM tools like Informatica MDM, or custom MDM with Oracle.They work on performance optimization, automation, and security compliance to meet business and regulatory requirements. Their role is critical in ensuring scalable, efficient, and high-performing data management systems that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational excellence.What you will be doing:

• MDM Solution Development: Design, develop, and deliver MDM solutions using AWS and/or Oracle technologies.
• Financial & Operational Data Expertise: Work with data from Oracle ERP Sales, Oracle DB, and implement slow-changing dimension (SCD) models.
• Cloud Platform Management: Optimize and manage cloud-based architectures, ensuring compliance with daily runbook SLAs.
• Version Control & Agile Practices: Utilize Git for version control and Jira (Agile/Kanban) for project management and workflow tracking.
• Data Modeling & Architecture: Implement modern data architecture principles, including fact/dimension tables, aggregations, and star schema modeling.
• Business & Technical Requirement Translation: Convert business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
• Optimized ETL Development: Design and implement parallel processing ETL solutions for high performance and resource efficiency.
• ETL Mapping & Transformations: Develop ETL mappings using transformations like Aggregator, Lookup, Router, Joiner, Union, Sorter, Normalizer, and Update Strategy.
• UNIX Scripting & Workflow Automation: Create UNIX shell scripts for Informatica workflows and perform data housekeeping tasks like cleanup and archiving.
• End-to-End Technical Guidance & Documentation: Provide technical leadership through the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality solution design documentation.

What you need to be considered:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering using tools such as: Informatica/IICS, Oracle DB and Oracle packages And/Or AWS services and Data platforms like Athena with iceberg, lambda, EMR, and glue. Data bricks
• Scripting languages like Python, Scala, Java or node.
• 1+ years of experience in Unix shell scripting
• 3+ years of experience working with Cloud like OCI, AWS, and Azure on Data technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in Oracle ERP.

Preferred:

• Experience with Publication and Education domain.
• Prior experience or familiarity with Tableau/Alteryx.
