Join us as a Founder of our new Sandoz!The External Partnership organization drives a strategic, multi-faceted agenda of both assessing and determining the long-term external partners SGD engages with across all aspects of generic drug development (small and large molecule) and ensuring the compliant and impactful opera-tionalising of those agreements.This position drives significant impact API supply chain set-up for project execution from allocation through launch in SDCs. This role maintains an overview on API partner identification, delivery asper project requirement. Together with project teams, ESO, STO Procurement, Legal and other stakeholders this role enables Sandoz strategy, through effective API supplier relationship management and execution of required activities during project development.Your Key Responsibilities:Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Work closely with cross functional teams of Sandoz Development Centres and with global functions (e.g Launch management, ESO and Procurement) on API sourcing strategy to ensure API supply for project development, registration and launch in multiple SDCs
  • For all APIs in SDG development enable life-cycle sourcing plans from enabling NCE-1 filing to launch requirements
  • Builds strong connections among the SMEs, partnering functions, intellectual property, quality, regulatory, and project development teams.
  • Identification, implementation and management of strategic and opportunistic API partnerships.
  • Drive strategic due diligence activities with potential partners and collaborators. Facilitates platform-level decision requirements, urgent issues and requests among collaborators.
  • Maintains a collaborative approach and open communications in the event of unexpected events, challenges, and technical failures. Assembles the internal team of stakeholders when critical issues arise.
  • Accountable for cost efficiency (avoidance and savings) and ensuring adherence with the project budgets to achieve the SGD financial targets.
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and productivity metrics to monitor and report partner performance.
Key performance indicators:
  • performance in accordance with defined KPIs -Value Delivery (Financial) & Customer Delivery (service Provision)
What youll bring to the role:Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree in Management and/ or Chemistry, Pharmacy, or other science degree
  • 12+ years professional experience in pharmaceutical/ generics industry in business Development, NCE Development or Sourcing
  • Fluent in English
  • Added experience in strategic sourcing of APIs
  • Strong understanding of Intellectual Property and regulatory requirements in generics industry
  • Strong understanding of chemical synthesis, analytics
  • Preferred experience in supplier selection, pharmaceutical development and/or cost structure analysis
  • Knowledge of global Gx API market trends and key suppliers in India, China and EU.
  • Excellent communication skills in an international environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
