Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Manager, Product Owner in our Bengaluru office. The Manager is responsible for building and managing a high-performing team of Product Owners and driving execution excellence across engineering teams. This includes hiring, onboarding, setting performance expectations, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and supporting their professional development while also leading initiatives that enhance velocity, productivity and efficiency of the engineering teams.The Manager ensures the team of Product Owners gather business requirements from cross functional stakeholders, understand the vision of what needs to be built and then work with the Engineering team to deliver the vision. Your team will be responsible for turning business requirements into stories with clear acceptance criteria and validating that they are met. You will ensure we have appropriate resourcing to fulfil the agreed upon roadmap and successfully deliver products that align with the organization's goals. You will also be responsible for driving process improvements and standardization of tools and practices that will enable our engineering teams to perform at world-class levels.The Manager will coach and mentor their team members and foster a collaborative and high performing culture. The Manager loves collaborating with others and cares deeply about people management. What your impact will look like here:

  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Owners, ensuring they are motivated, productive, and continuously developing their skills. Lead change management initiatives that drive execution excellence of our engineering teams.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define product strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Execution Excellence: Ensure that Product Owners are effectively translating product strategy into actionable tasks, and user stories. Benchmark performance of engineering teams against global standards and plan change management initiatives to raise the bar on their performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between the Product Owner team and cross-functional departments, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and implement best practices in product management, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and introducing new tools and methods when appropriate. Ensure that change management initiatives are leading to continuous improvement of performance metrics.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance metrics for the Product Owner team, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with quality standards. Use a metrics driven approach to guide transformation of engineering processes for world-class outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies to ensure smooth product development.
You will love this job if you have:
  • At least 5+ years of experience managing a team of Product Owners through successful product deliveries in a fast paced, cloud environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire teams. Experienced in change management initiatives, especially in software engineering and delivery processes.
  • Excellent understanding of product management methodologies, agile frameworks and performance metrics as applicable to Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically. Data-driven approach to guide process improvement
  • Stellar communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across various teams and departments.
  • Proficient in Jira and Confluence
