Job roles & responsibilities: 1.Identify manufacturing needs for new products in development 2. Design new systems and processes and provide facilities & methods to ensure the cost effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations 3. Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result 4. Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs 5. Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements. 6. Installation of machinery and equipment 7. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout. 8. Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities 9. Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends. 10. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers. Essential & Desirable Education/Qualifications/ Work experience/technical skills i.e. what are the -must haves- for this role Education , Skills & Experience SKILLS Education: Degree in Mechanical Experience : More than 6 years SKILLS: Hands on experience in engine assy. and testing Managing new projects with respect to time line, cost, resources and quality compliance Line improvements, MOP, LCA, Kaizen and cost reduction Engineering drawing , GD&T Exposure to manage assembly area in powertrain shop. Knowledge of engine, process planning. Manufacturing process knowledge of jig, fixtures & assembly parts.
