  • Work on Project financial life cycle by interacting with internal and external teams and product specialist
  • Project Portfolio Management:
  • Manage and prioritize the organization's project portfolio.
  • Assess and evaluate project proposals for alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Chair and minute meetings with Business resources & Product owner to sign-off application requirements (Business Gathering Requirements phase of project)
  • Chair and minute meetings with IT Tech Team to ensure Pods have 2 sprints of work in play, development is on-track and to assist Pods to remove blockers
  • Compile & maintain RIAD log
  • Compile PowerPoint deck for IT Tech Gov Steer meeting - Must have excellent PowerPoint skills. This is very important. They will need to be able to pull status reports, risks/issues, project stats into the PowerPoint presentation including use of graphs/tables as necessary
  • Chair and minute IT Tech Gov Steer meeting. Update RIAD log post meeting
  • Work with Business PM to compile deck for Steer meeting every month - IT PM responsible for status report slides and IT slides in deck - IT PM presents these slides at Steer Meeting (Business & IT Leads attend Steer Meeting)
  • Compile and maintain Project Plan - may consist of multiple workstreams e.g. application development, migration, document generation, automation with financial application
  • Gov: PlanView
Financials, monthly updates etc * Someone having worked with Service Now, Jira & PlanView an advantage
  • Someone having dealt with DBAs, AES Engineers, DevOps an advantage
  • Must have excellent Powerpoint skills
  • Must be flexible and willingness to adopt to change
  • Project Governance:
  • Establish and enforce project management policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks.(SDLC/Agile Framework)
  • Facilitate project audits and reviews as needed.
  • Resource Management:
  • Allocate and optimize resources across projects.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
  • Monitor resource utilization and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
  • Identify and assess project risks and issues.
  • Develop and implement mitigation plans.
  • Escalate critical issues to senior management.
  • Reporting and Metrics:
  • Create and maintain project dashboards and reports.
  • Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and project status updates.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
  • Ensure project managers and teams have the necessary information and support.
  • Communicate project status and changes to relevant parties.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance project management processes.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to increase project efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

We will count on you to:
  • Ensure Relevant project management process are in place
  • Maintaining Project Plan that details the E2E plan for the release/sprints
  • Governance Model applicable during execution from planning to release
  • Reviewing Change Request process
  • Working on documents prepared during project execution
  • Working with team on execution status and various other reports to be shared with stakeholders
  • Managing complex project teams with resources in multiple country locations comprised of a spectrum of skillsets including System Analysts, Developers and Software Quality Analysts
  • Responsible for directing the delivery of change programs meeting stakeholder expectations on time, cost and quality
  • Providing Mercer business leadership with clear, concise project status on software readiness highlighting progress, change controls, issues and mitigating plans
  • Applying advanced project management experience to stakeholder, sponsor and client challenges. Agile methodologies and scrum experience preferred.

  • Integrity and attention to detail
  • Someone experienced with Agile delivery and the processes and governance that goes along with it.
  • Global PM and PMO support experience
  • Flexible attitude
  • Good communication, analytical and management skills
  • Proficiency in effort estimation
  • Effective/Accurate and timely reporting skills
  • Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)
  • Ability to multi task and should be a self starter
  • Ability to handle difficult client situations and derive strategic solutions
  • Minimum 12 months experience as Manager PM or PM related activities
  • Should have at least Meets Expectations or equivalent rating in last appraisal
  • Should not be under any Performance Continuity Plan, or had any official Disciplinary action within the last 3 months
  • Should not have applied for any other IJP within Mercer in the last 3 months
