Role Purpose
Signant Health has embarked on an Enterprise IT application improvement strategy to \xe2\x80\x9cEnable Your Best Work\xe2\x80\x9d. We\xe2\x80\x99re currently searching for a Sr Manager, IT Applications to work as part of the IT team. The Sr Manager, IT Applications\xe2\x80\x99 role is to supervise and maintain the organization\xe2\x80\x99s repository of software applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. The Sr Manager, IT Applications is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business operations. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. This individual will also act as a mentor to team leads and managers within the department.

As part of our team, your Key Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
• Provide direction for the application team in support of business operations and procedures.
• Delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end.
• Ability to manage change and effectively pass on the information down the line to concerned teams for smoother execution.
• Understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner
• Responsible for ensuring maximum team performance.
• Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding contracts/agreements.
• Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-related activities.
• Act as a key contact with customers who have technical issues
• Assist with team goal planning and business strategic alignment.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll need to bring: -

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer systems design or computer science, or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience.
• 9+ years direct experience managing applications and/or systems management.
• Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions, including application architecture.
• Direct, hands-on experience with automated software management tools.
• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Extensive experience with core software applications, including Jira and Box.
• Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures within both an Agile and Waterfall work environment.
• Excellent understanding of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives.
• Willingness to facilitate and/or challenge decisions within or across teams leading to a collaborative outcome/plan.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Take the lead in continuous business improvement by regularly advising IT management of improvements to applications, services, and processes that enhances efficiency, scalability and/or security
• Coach and encourage application team about the potential use of technologies that bring additional value to the business units.
• Ability to match project tasks with opportunities for development so that employee potential is utilized to the maximum
• Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation and appreciate team contribution
• Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and suitably make changes if required
• Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence.
