Work with global stakeholders and leads a cross-functional team of experience professionals from Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineers, Special Process Engineers, Electronics Industrial /Test Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, & Operations. Leads project plans, provides resolution to project problems, leads project meetings, strategic planning, support business development teams in bids & proposals, and act as the primary contact or focal for electronics issues. Oversee the CoE for Electronics, fix manufacturability issues, Obsolescence management, set up PCBA lines, NPIs, transitions & Advanced Manufacturing technologies responsible to the overall delivery of the program from design conceptualization to initial ramp up in production end to end.
Drive Core/Non-Core Analysis for Electronics product lines and create a Center of Excellence for Electronics through Industrialization, by creating an expert team for high-speed troubleshooting lines, debugging processes, production ramp up to support NPIs/transitions, design/redesign Cells & Workstations for changing volumes in line with flexible manufacturing strategy.
Fix Supplier Quality issues, MPR Audits for Electronics Product lines, Obsolescence management and support product re-engineering.
Partner with Quality to drive Relentless problem solving through CPS/DAISY/Six sigma meth ologies and CI projects leveraging CORE tools.
Lead project plans and schedules; manages all aspects of the project, allocates resources, drives strategic planning, maintain project budget, & assigns tasks to ensure targets are met
Identifies and develops necessary resources to ensure project completion including setting up the production line, setting up the machine/equipment and tools required and ensure all activities are carried out in a timely manner.
Identifies project problems and recommends solutions, understanding customer requirements and specifications and ensures smooth flow of production build.
Identifies new processes, technology, and equipment required from future and awarded projects.
Conducts prototyping and testing with about 10 or more direct reports
Works is under Structures & Integration (S&I)
Qualifications:
With at least 15-20 years of relevant experience
Has Good leadership skills - Ability to lead and manage people.
Expertise in Electronics Product design, Industrial Engineering , Value Engineering Advanced Manufacturing Technologies & Best Available techniques.
Proven track record of establishing Electronics product lines with clean room standards and creating CoEs
Strong operational KPIs and basic financial KPIs
Ability to apply tools for practical problem solving and improvement initiatives.
Good verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to apply logical and scientific thinking principles to solve a wide range of intellectual, organizational, and practical problems.
Basic knowledge in using ERP systems (preferred SAP, JD Edwards)
Preferably with experience in Aerospace or Automotive or Electronics industries
Advance knowledge and application of lean/materials principles (Lean Six Sigma)
