And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers.Role Overview:As a Senior Manager level Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in engineering a platform that can be used by our company to create, manage, use, test, and experiment with generative AI. Your extensive experience in managing teams and projects will be crucial in leading a team of developers and engineers, fostering collaboration, growth, and success for your team, and delivering high-quality software backends integrated with highly performant frontend applications. Additionally, your exposure and understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) will be essential in integrating advanced AI functionalities into our software solutions.What will you do in this role:

• Develop and maintain a system that supports other engineers, especially those working with generative AI technologies.
• Manage and support a team of developers, fostering collaboration, growth, and success.
• Utilize your understanding of Generative AI and LLMs to enhance or otherwise direct development of application functionalities.
• Monitor the performance, scalability, and security of the platform.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, full stack development, and cloud technologies.
• Perform basic risk assessments for small information systems. Contribute to the identification of risks that arise from potential technical solution architectures. Suggest alternate solutions or countermeasures to mitigate risks.
• Design test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes.
• Elicit requirements for systems and software life cycle working practices and automation. Prepare design options for the working environment of methods, procedures, techniques, tools, and people.
• Undertake complete design of moderately complex software applications or components. Specify user and/or system interfaces. Assist as part of a team in the design of components of larger software systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies with the team to execute on prioritized projects and features.

What Should you have:

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any technology stream.
• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering and managing teams.
• Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) and understanding of the capabilities and limitations of LLMs.
• Proficiency in common programming languages and frameworks for platform engineering (e.g., Java, Python, Spring Boot, Express).
• Proficiency in and experience implementing platform tooling, including (but not limited to) authentication services, observability modules and application performance monitoring, service mesh, API documentation practices, infrastructure-as-code, designing deployment patterns, and microservice development.
• Basic familiarity with AI libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Langchain or similar).

• Knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) and data structures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in infrastructure design and implementation
• Experience in Agile Ways of Working and delivery (Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development etc.)
• Experience in risk and compliance management for infrastructure services
• Experience in managing Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles
