Job Summary Define key responsibilities to reflect the duties and responsibilities of this role. The Senior Manger FCSO Transaction Screening provides support to the Director FCSO Transaction Screening (Director TS) for meeting Group Screening Standards Governance requirements. Supports implementation of Group Screening Standards (GSS) pertaining to Transaction Screening (TS) across various products/processes across the group including the engagements with the respective Business/Function Group Process owners, Risk Framework Owners (Group ROs and Conduct Financial Crime and Compliance RFOs where required) and Country Financial Crime and Compliance teams. Supports creation, amendment, and annual reviews of Group Screening Matrix (GSM) and related documents such as Data Service Level Agreement (DSLA), Field Applicability Matrix (FAM) and Data Quality (DQ) Control documents. Manages the annual reviews of the Transaction Screening (TS) settings and configurations with Business, Functions and other ventures Supports Director TS on various Efficiency and Effectiveness initiatives to improve the TS process and widen the TS coverage and support business for onboarding new transactions/products/geographies to transaction screening platform. Responsibilities Strategy Support the Group strategic deliverables regarding the implementation of the GSS requirement for creating and maintaining the GSMs and related documents. Business . Engage all levels of business stakeholder and work independently with them for addressing GSS related matters, TS settings / configurations related requirements, DQ Control related issues, TS alert reduction initiatives, DSLA documentation, FAM documentation, onboarding of new transactions / products / geographies and queries arising from Service Review Meetings . Manage the country engagements on any new (or changes to existing) settings and configurations at a Group level or when there are any new (or changes to existing) settings and configurations at a Country level (arising for local regulatory requirements) . Support relevant stakeholders through providing clarification/additional information to enable them to make decisions based on current and possible future policies, practices, and trends . Be aware of application of regulatory expectations, laws, best practices and policies related to FCC . Assist Director TS for the engagement with Business/functions or Country CFCC team. Document meeting minutes and actions following the meetings, track all actions to closure . Maintain good working relationships with the various Business/Functions representatives . Undertake ad-hoc duties when delegated by the Line Manager Processes Group Screening Matrix (GSM): . Support the design and documentation of processes for creation, maintenance, annual review of Transaction Screening GSMs including coverage of country specific requirements advised through CAs. . Support review and update of GSMs with Director TS and Business/Functions, including country review of Group level GSMs to advise any country specific variations and completion of GSMs. . Review the relevant TS OR controls for ensuring that all screenable transactions are documented in the GSM are being screened in TSaaS. . Manage the country engagements on any new (or changes to existing) country specific requirements for Transaction Screening. . Engage and involve other stakeholders from FCSO, List management (LM), Fircosoft Product management (FPM) or Risk Owners (Group or CFCC Advisory). . Maintain the GSMs and other related documents in centralized repository for access to FCSO team, business/functions and Risk Owners (group and country). Data Service Level Agreement: . Manage engagement with all levels of business stakeholders for completion of DSLA . Document/ Review/ maintain DSLA through update of all relevant critical data elements (CDEs), screenable message types/transactions and completion of data lineage handshake with business units . Maintain the DSLA in the group\'s system. Data Quality Management Framework: . Evaluate Data Lineage, Data Profiling and Data Comparison controls that impacts transaction screening and engage business stakeholders for completion of these controls where necessary and ensure proper documentation of these controls so that they are auditable . Engage with the business for periodic review of DQ gaps identified upstream, evaluate impact on TS effectiveness, escalate the issue to Screening Risk Management and to the line manager . Engage with business for dispensation and risk acceptance DQ gaps and for non-compliance to DQMF policy, where required . Maintain DQ Control related documents, confirmations, risk acceptance and dispensations at a centralised location, accessible to Director TS and other team members. Field Applicability Matrix: . Manage engagement with L&C Technology and business stakeholders for documentation of FAMs showing each data field in transactions that are to be screened against specific watchlist elements . Obtain relevant approvals for amendments and maintain the FAM as a live document. Efficiency and Effectiveness: . Monitor TS alerts and alert rate for each product and analyse alert pattern and reason for alert through analysis of transactional data that are alerted and the watchlist elements that are matched with . Work on business rules to reducing false alerts, through engagement with FCSO and business stakeholders . Obtaining required approvals for changes to transaction screening system settings/ new business rules to improve transaction screening efficiency / effectiveness . Support onboarding of new businesses, new geographies, new transaction types onto the TS platform, TSaaS through managing engagements with group/country business units, response to queries, and documentation of processes/controls and project artefacts. Transaction Screening Settings, Configurations and Calibrations : . Support the design and documentation of processes for review and approval of TS settings and configurations including approach/model agreed with Business/Functions . Support and manage the annual review and approval of TS settings and configurations (including risk-based approaches) with the Group Risk Owners . Document meeting minutes and actions following the meetings, track all actions to closure . Manage the country engagements on any new (or changes to existing) settings and configurations at a Group level or when there are any new (or changes to existing) settings and configurations at a Country level (arising for local regulatory requirements) . Engage and involve other stakeholders from FCSO (LM team/FPM team) or Risk Owners (Group or CFCC Advisory) . Coordinate the maintenance of TS settings and configuration related documents, formal approvals, and meeting minutes in centralized repository for access to Director TS, business/functions and Risk Owners (group and country). People & Talent . Provide effective orientation /guidance to new Joiners on the bank\'s policies/procedures/processes to ensure their successful assimilation into the team and the bank . Develop and implement a personal learning plan with team manager, to attain necessary competencies . Successfully complete milestones as laid out in implemented personal learning plan. Risk Management . Keep track of the DQMF work done upstream and the risk arising out of DQ gaps work with upstream business units on actions items to plug the identified gaps . Evaluate sufficiency of transaction screening coverage for upstream products identify opportunities to identify increase TS coverage to reduce risk . Keep all the documentation such as GSM, DSLA/Data handshake current to reduce risk arising therefrom. . Work with line manager to keep the TS residual risk rating at low level. . Escalate screening risk(s) identified upstream or with FCSO processes and work with FCSO/upstream stakeholders on the treatment plan. Governance . Support the implementation of the GSS . Ensure processes within the TS unit and the business units that are supported are in compliance to governance models related to the GSS . Track any GSS or GSM governance related documents and ensure these are taken into account when the governance is followed . Support design and implement formal process documentation for: a. On-going and annual review of GSMs including country engagements for country specific requirements (via Country Addenda to GSS and country review of Group level GSMs) b. Annual review of TS settings, configurations, and calibrations as per agreed approach with each Business/Function/other ventures . Document/maintain DSLA, FAM, DQ Controls and review/amend these documents as per the agreed frequency . Ensure that all documents for which the role holder is responsible are maintained and kept up to date and centrally located. Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the . Work with Line Manger on regular updates and MI to the upstream business Qualifications Training, licenses, memberships and certifications Graduate in any discipline working experience with direct or indirect exposure to banking and finance industry Self-starter, able to make things happen by changing thoughts into actions A team player with good interpersonal skills Able to engage with all levels of business stakeholder and work comfortably with them Ability to work independently Good eye for detail able to work quickly and accurately Strong writing, presentation and verbal communications skills in English Past experience of working with Cash, Trade, Securities Services, Financial Markets, Wealth Management, Retail Banking is a plus but not essential Experience in Financial Crime Controls is a plus but not essential
