Job Title - Senior Manager - DevopsCareer Level - EAbout the roleWe have exciting opportunity for DevOps Lead working as part of Digital Lab Platform within the R&D IT department. The DevOps Lead will work closely with the Platform Lead, Technical Lead, Scrum Master and DevOps team to ensure sophisticated and on-time delivery of user demands and long-term servicing of different applications within the platform.As a DevOps Lead you are responsible for end-to-end delivery of backlog items and Operation tasks for Platform applications. You are responsible for planning and executing within the committed timeline. You will assist the Scrum Master in coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups, as well as preparing status reports.Experience and Key Desired skills12+ years of hands-on experience leading DevOps teamExtensive experience with DevOps tools including Git, Docker containerization, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible Tower and strong experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) and Infra-as-Code.Extensive knowledge in designing and implementing DevOps practices for version control, compliance, configuration management, build, release, and testing using AWS cloud infrastructure.Exhibits high-level end-to-end understanding of application design, construction, testing, deployment, and delivery.Takes full ownership of the DevOps discipline and be responsible for managing application, server, and infrastructure related issues.Has an effective understanding of Microservices Architecture and API Management.Multi-vendor & multi-platform experience is required.Must be able to implement and enforce the best practices and coding standards of the platform.Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives.Experience working with global teams and guiding them through technical issues is highly preferred.Good team player that has the attitude to work with highest integrity.Must be able to support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restores of different software environments.Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve the speed, efficiency, and scalability of web-based applications.Willingness to challenge the status quo; identify processes that are bottlenecks for delivery and suggest simpler and faster alternatives that puts more control within the team.Demonstrate DevOps behaviors for the team: continuous learning and improvement, experimentation and risk taking, build quality in, and engineering culture, a culture of effectiveness, product thinking, culture of taking responsibility, and creating an inspirational and fun environment.Must be able to work independently, prioritize existing demands, and proactively determine areas requiring additional attention, monitoring, or maintenance.Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and be able manage new requirements from stakeholders.Responds positively to change and the challenges and opportunities it brings.Date Posted 15-May-2024Closing Date 28-May-2024AstraZeneca embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
