As a Lead Datacentre Strategist, you will play a key role in crafting the datacentre vision, driving excellence in datacentre decisions, optimization, design and management, and ensuring our datacentre infrastructure remains at the forefront of operations.Qualifications:

  • 15 years demonstrated expertise in enterprise datacentre management, with a track record of delivering successful datacentre strategies and projects.
  • Experience or equivalent in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, data science, or a related field.
  • Demonstratable experienced in leading and working with driven teams.
  • Strong technical understanding in datacentre technologies, including server infrastructure, storage systems, networking, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Ability to develop and implement datacentre strategies that align with business goals.
  • Excellent communicator and personable, with the ability to collaborate successfully with all colleagues and partners.
  • Project management experience with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant datacenter trends, practices, management and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and leading the implementation of strategic datacentre plans aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to define long-term datacentre goals and roadmaps.
  • Work alongside a team of skilled datacentre specialists, providing guidance, mentoring, and encouraging innovation and togetherness.
  • Provide team and cultural change leadership and management as part of 100+ strong global dc group
  • Collaborate with different teams, including engineering, architecture, operations, and finance, to drive alignment and ensure seamless execution of datacentre strategies.
  • Design and architect modern datacentre solutions, encompassing leading infrastructure, networking technologies, virtualization and cloud services.
  • Actively support project lifecycle and champion running technical and operational risks and issues for smaller projects that are not led by the Project Management Organization (PMO)
  • Monitor and analyse datacentre performance metrics, finding opportunities for optimization, through continuous improvement.
  • Implement practices to improve datacentre efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Develop and implement datacentre security protocols, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements to safeguard our critical assets.
  • Mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities through proactive planning and infrastructure improvements.
  • Develop, lead datacentre budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and alignment to financial targets.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to improve vendor relationships and achieve better partnerships including cost efficiency & innovation
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, new technologies, and standard processes in datacentre management.
