Team and Role Overview
The Capital Market Calypso QA Team is responsible for verifying and validating all the functional and technical changes that are released to the customers monthly. The team certifies both the In-premise and also the cloud version of the software. We work very closely with Core Engineering and the product management team to make sure that the product meets customer\xe2\x80\x99s expectations. The team also works with the automation team to help them automate the product features/use cases and also validate the executions. We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Cloud QA Manager with 8+ strong experience in testing the deployment of complex applications in a Cloud environment. The candidate should have relevant technical knowledge to understand the scripts that are being used for the deployment and also assist in the development and testing of various automated scripts for the health check of the application components. The position is based out of Adena Mumbai office and will report to one of the senior directors/senior managers.
Responsibilities
Work very closely with the core/cloud engg team to understand the technical architecture of the application and verify that application deployment is correct in the cloud and consistent with in-premise
Come up with test artifacts to validate all the changes going into the cloud deployment
Understand and validate all the deployment tools/automation scripts being used for deployment and health checks
Provide RCA for the customer-reported issues and incorporate the GAP\xe2\x80\x99s in test plans
Help in growing and mentoring the cloud QA team
Assist in ongoing process improvement efforts related to Quality
Report defects in a timely fashion and work with the Development team to manage defects until issues are resolved
Provide test case coverage to substantiate release decisions
Skills And Requirements
Good understanding of Cloud technology like AWS/OCI
Good understanding of docker containers and Kubernetes
Good understanding of Linux and networking concepts
Experience in the creation of automation frameworks from scratch
Good knowledge of any programming language like Java, Python
Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Good knowledge of bash and shell scripting
Ability to lead, Grow, mentor, and do the performance appraisal of a team of 3+ people
Collaborate and work with external stakeholders across geographies and time zones
Solid Understanding and good experience with the Quality engineering principles
